What will the people in my group be like?

Groups are made up of people just like you!  Most of the people that attend the Covenant worship gathering on Sunday participate in GroupLife at sometime during the week.

When will my group meet?

Groups meet regularly, either weekly or bimonthly.  Each meeting is just 60-90 minutes long but it will make a big impact on your life!

I have children, are there groups that have childcare?

Yes!  The groups that meet Sunday morning have childcare.  Some other groups may have childcare as well.

Where do I find a group that’s right for me?

You can view available groups below. There are groups that meet throughout Ellicott City and Columbia as well as online.

What happens when I sign up?

When you sign up, the leader of your new group will contact you to tell you when and where your group will be meeting and any other information you will need to get started.




Spencer/Barr Group (Ladies)

Group Leader: Cheryl Spencer & Cindy Barr

When: 2nd & 4th Sunday, 9:15 AM

Where: TCACP, Room 208

What: Our group has a wide range of ages and life stories. We enjoy being together whether we are discussing the Bible, eating Mexican food, or packing shoeboxes for needy kids around the world. If you would like to be a part of our group and have preschool children, please let us know and we will arrange to have care for them.

Baldwin Group (Men)

Group Leader: Drew Baldwin

When: Fridays @ 6:30am

Where: TCACP, Youth Room

What: A group of men committed to studying God's Word, encouraging one another, building spiritual disciplines, and being on mission together. 

Geisler Group (Co-Ed)

When: Every other Sunday @ 9:15 AM

Where: TCACP, Room 207

What: A group of men and women, married and single, predominately in their 50s and 60s. Some members still work, and some are retired. They do service projects for the church and our community, have social events, and support each other as needs arise.

Glass/Barr Group (Men)

Group Leader: Justin Glass & James Barr

When: 1st & 3rd Sunday, 9:15 AM

Where: TCACP, Room 208

What: A group of men committed to studying God's Word, encouraging one another, building spiritual disciplines, and being on mission together. 

Hitesman Group (Co-ed)

When: Thursdays at 7 PM

Where: TCACP, Room 208

What: A group covering all age groups, married, unmarried, men, and women. They seek God together and how we can live daily for Christ. Their goals are to develop tools and techniques to model Christ in their lives as we walk in faith together. They use a variety of curriculum and a wide range of resources to study and grow together. They serve our community by providing a monthly meal to our ministry partner Grassroots for the homeless.

Blackwood Group (Co-ed)

Group Leader: Dan & Kristi Blackwood

When: Wednesdays at 7 PM

Where: Alternating between Ellicott City & Waverly Woods

What: A group comprised of singles and couples in their 40-60s. Prayer, Bible and topical studies, and Fellowship are integral parts of this group.

Miller Group (Ladies)

Group Leader: Bobbi Miller

When: Thursdays at 7 PM

Where: Laurel/Maple Lawn

What: A group of ladies predominantly in their 40s, 50s, and 60s that fosters friendships of all ages studies God's word in a way to apply it to daily life, and encourages each other on the Christian journey.

Book Club (Co-ed)

When: Last Tuesday of the Month

Where: Barnes & Noble @ The Columbia Mall

What: The Book Club meets the last Tuesday of every month to discuss a book they are reading together. This is a perfect group for you if you are a reader.

S-I-M-P-L-E Group (Co-ed)

Group Leader: Paul Marshall

When: Sundays at 9:15 AM

Where: TCACP, Youth Room

What: A group to include men and women looking to make their faith an active part of daily living. Life Principles for a Significant & Meaningful JourneyBringing understanding and order to a complex and often chaotic life? I promise to keep it simple and applicable.
